ABOUT
Paula McGrath is an acclaimed Irish novelist and academic based in Dublin. Her fiction explores memory, identity, and the stories we tell to make sense of our lives.
Her debut novel, Generation, was selected as one of RTÉ’s Top Ten Books of the Year and drew comparisons with Anne Enright, Donal Ryan and Raymond Carver. Her second novel, A History of Running Away, was named an Irish Times Book of the Year and described as “thoroughly modern, engaging, and sophisticated”, “ambitious”, and “elegantly written”. Both novels were published in France by Quai Voltaire, and A History of Running Away was published in Germany by JUMBO Verlag.
Paula is Assistant Professor and Head of Subject in Creative Writing at University College Dublin.
She is working on a new novel.
